1973-75 Vintage, VICTORINOX 84MM SILVER RIBBED ALOX VOYAGEUR RED SWISS Swiss Army Knife - SAK. This is the older type which comes with the bottle opener unlike the combo tool, present in all Voyageurs from 1980 on. Also, the scissors come with the original black Two Leg Spring (furnished roughly for a couple of years). VERY HARD TO FIND SAK. Back in the 70s, the (currently known as) TOURIST was named SPORTSMAN (it did not come with a Keyring) and the TOURIST was the SAK which, nowadays, we know as VOYAGEUR. Voyageur was, in reality, a name given by the SAK community, because this knife besides being named the TOURIST, did not carry any other names but an alphanumeric ID: 2232s+ (by the early 80s it was changed to 0.1500.26). This is an uncommon configuration for an 84mm Victorinox, and was produced in small quantities. The Voyageur is a two-layer 84mm Victorinox knife with either smooth or ribbed Alox scales. The Voyageur has a close Cellidor relative, the model 232k, which is the same as the early Alox Voyageur models that contain the cap-lifter rather than the newer combo opener tool, this model was also available with toothpick and tweezers (Model 232ka). Here's your very hard to come by opportunity to add this rare knife to your Alox / Checkered / Old Cross SAK Swiss Army Knife collection! Cosmetics: This pretty nice Voyageur looks like it was little used, mainly pocket carried and/or drawer queen, because the tools show little to no wear but the scales shown those visible faint marks, as clearly shown condition.
