This knife was sourced directly from a prototype demonstration of a display case built in 1991 to showcase the design of the display case that was later mass manufactured for retailers. This was a 1 of 1 case filled with Victorinox merchandise and sealed in 1991. The case stayed in the corporate executive suite for 20 years. The display case itself was handcrafted using localized hardware store materials, populated with master production design models, and permanently screwed shut. My aunt worked closely within the Swiss Army company for 35 years and preserved this specific executive demo unit. The case remained tightly sealed and screwed shut from 1991 until last week, early July 2026, when it was meticulously unscrewed for the first time to extract the pristine presentation items inside of this demo display case. Scales: Flawless, vibrant smooth red aluminum Alox. Zero pocket scuffs, zero shelf wear, and absolutely no fading.
