Beautiful antique Wenger Tahara pocket knife. It is in extremely well preserved condition. The covers appear to be faux tortoise shell. The name was chosen by the owners wife. It refers to a Tibetan goddess and translates roughly to "she who saves".
The knife is a rare antique that is uncommonly well preserved. The Wenger brand is no longer used. Wenger was acquired by Victorinox in 2005 and beginning in 2013 all of the knives are now branded Victorinox.
