MODEL DESCRIPTION: The Victorinox Champion Swiss Army knife was the top-of-the-line model for about 15 years, starting with the introduction of the magnifier in 1973, and ending with the pliers introduction in 1987. It was (and still is) extremely popular. CONDITION NOTE: New in original box, with product literature. The box has slight shop wear: mostly just creasing and bending at the ends where the red sheath overlaps the inner sliding tray.
AGE NOTE: This is the second version of the modern Champion, from the late 1980s. It adds a chisel, and the rear fine screwdriver has a different shape from the original. Still no hook on the rear.
This version still has a grooved corkscrew, and an adjustable screw at the scissors pivot. The Victorinox Champion knife is 91mm (3½") long, about 26mm (1") wide, and 28.5mm (1.1) thick. It weighs about 150 grams 5.3 oz.
