MODEL DESCRIPTION: The Victorinox Techline Swiss Army knife is a standard sized 91mm / 3 1/2 Swiss Army knife, with pliers and a minimalistic set of other tools. This knife never really had an official Victorinox model name, but informally, it has also been called the Special Mechanic and Mechanic Junior. An interesting detail on this model is the cut-out liner on the pliers side (visible in the last photo).
That is necessary to provide clearance for the pliers pivot and spring. You would think modders would be proud of their work and would visibly mark their knives with a name or logo. Reputable modders like SwissBianco do just that. However, most of the modders hope to get a few extra bucks by duplicating a rare model, and we get yelled at or ignored, when we suggest they brand the knife to avoid confusion later. It is often possible to identify copies of this model, because the liner cut-out is different.
Another option is to remove the scales and compare the rivets to a real Victorinox. We are confident it is authentic. PRICING NOTE: We priced this one absurdly high so people will read our rant and consider the issue.
We'll reduce it to reasonable levels later. The Victorinox Techline knife is 91mm (3½") long, about 26mm (1") wide, and 16mm (0.64) thick. It weighs about 81 grams (2.9 oz). And contains the following tools.Medium Blade- 70mm (2 5/8). Combo Can/Bottle Opener with Screwdriver Tip.
