Very Rare Vintage Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Stand Display Accessories Animated Motorized Moving. 1990's Electrical Shop Moving Display "The Original Swiss Army Knife" is in good condition for its age and works great. Stands approximately 35 tall when the large knife is extended vertically.

Overall size measures approximately 35"H x 23"W The plastic base measures 6" tall and the 6" wide. The large knife and scissors extend out approximately 12 inches. The spring works good on the scissors. The knives are plastic with silver coating which shows signs of pitting and some wear. It works very well and may occasionally make a squeak or two, yet it is pretty quiet.

The front and back red face plates were removed to clean. Oiling was not done as I didn't want to use the wrong type of oil. The Switzerland emblem is worn and faded, more so on the right side. Adhered to the back red face plate shows a piece of black velcro (not sure what that is all about). The front red face plate shows some spots where the finish/sheen is worn particularly on the upper top and right side. There are signs of age and some scratches. The large blade is marked with... Three prong plug for 220v or 110v voltage use. It was made to advertise the world famous knife and distributed to shops in Europe and North America in the 1950s. Victorinox was founded by Karl Elsener in 1884. The company's origins started in the small town of Ibach in Canton Schwy, Switzerland. It was made by the great Swiss enterprise. The company distributed these unique displays to promote its sales of the well known multi-purposed Swiss Army Knives internationally. Certainly such a display is an artifact and difficult to be found anymore.
