Today we have an antique J. From 1898 per the twins (tang stamp) Nice Henckels for your collection. The reason it is a horseman's knife is the small blade with the rounded end.
This was used for cleaning and or shaping the hoof of a horse out in the field. The main blade is mostly lacking in snap as well as having scratches from some past sharpening.The main blade is 3 5/8 inches long closed it is 4 3/4 inches. Remember this knife is close to 125 years old. All the other blades work as they are supposed to. This knife is not really a user though you could if you wanted to.
It is more of a display or conversation piece. Brass liners and Henckels excellent carbon steel. Look at the pictures they do a better job of. This a very nice clean knife no digs or cracks in the stag. A little bit about me.

I bring this up because as I collected these I always go over them remove any flaking chrome or rust, clean and oil all the pivots apply Renaissance wax to the surfaces.
